"We declined prenatal testing not because we assume this baby in my womb has the typical 46 chromosomes. We declined prenatal testing because we would welcome another child with Down syndrome."

War on the Unborn
"But we can continue to give much-needed attention to parents like Kurt Kondrich, who runs the “Stop Aborting Down Syndrome Individuals Now” website. He doesn’t have a public relations budget or any high-powered communications professionals working for him. All he has is the love of a Down syndrome child named Chloe. He and his wife met with Sarah Palin, the mother of a Down syndrome child, during the 2008 campaign. In this age of the new media revolution, however, Kurt has the ability to post provocative and compelling articles about the struggle for life of those without a voice. Kurt Kondrich says: “I have since embarked on a mission to make sure people are aware of this genocide. I want people to see the beautiful faces of our kids and realize the priceless Blessings and Gifts they are to a society that has lost focus.”

The Most "Invasive Test" Ever
Check out my latest article "The most "invasive test" ever"
"The concern for invasive prenatal testing is that it could cause a miscarriage in a "normal, healthy" unborn child. My beautiful 7-year-old daughter Chloe who has Down syndrome is very healthy and above normal when it comes to things that truly matter. The non-invasive test developed for Down syndrome will cause the most "invasive" procedure possible for these precious children — Termination." http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kondrich/100823

Media Release - Killing of Unborn Children with Down syndrome = Genocide
"It is the opinion of this Society that the screening programme is in violation of Article II [d] of the Convention, Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group. People with Down syndrome fall within the definition of “disabled persons” and are recognized under the UN Declaration on the Rights of Disabled Persons as a group which forms part of a nation."

First they came for the disabled
Check out my latest posted article below
"Many people do not realize that the first people targeted for extermination in Germany in the 1930's were the disabled. Under the secret T-4 program, individuals with disabilities were labeled "life unworthy of life" and "useless eaters." Today, there is a silent eugenic movement that has resulted in 90%+ of children identified prenatally with Down syndrome to be targeted and then terminated. Although there are no railroad cars or smoke stacks in the distance, the results are the same as the "Killing Crates" of the 1930's." http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kondrich/100805

"Wrongful birth" lawsuit
Check out my latest article on the Renew America site:
This "wrongful birth lawsuit" is a very slippery slope, and it could lead to law firms specializing in this type of prenatal litigation. When a unique and beautiful class of people have been marked as "undesirable" and "not welcome" then all of us need to ask the question "Who is next?"

Parents sue for wrongful birth - DOWN SYNDROME
"TWO Victorian couples are suing doctors for failing to diagnose Down Syndrome in their unborn babies, denying them the chance to terminate the pregnancies. "In the event that Down Syndrome had been detected, (she) would have elected to undergo a termination of her pregnancy," their statement of claim says."

Are Down syndrome people "less than" others?
"In the reporter's enthusiasm, she downplays a major effect the availability of this test would produce; namely, the destruction of more unborn children who are found to have Down's. Indeed, the whole spin of the story further de-humanizes people with Down's, increasing their marginalization and, quite literally, their endangerment."

Cheap Blood Test Could Detect Disorders in Fetus
Please read the article below carefully and pass it on. With a 90%+ termination rate currently for a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome this new test could lead to Down syndrome extinction. My beautiful 7 year old daughter has an extra chromosome, and she does not have a "disorder". We just returned from the beach, and do you see any disorders here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BZdTnjHaXlo There is nothing holy about this "holy grail".
"Professor Stephen Robson, spokesman for the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, considers a non-invasive test for detecting Down syndrome the “holy grail” and said there was an ''enormous research effort’’ behind it." http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,595705,00.html

Official report says screening and aborting Down Syndrome babies is an effective cost saving tool
"The estimated cost of avoiding the birth of a baby with Down syndrome (about 38,000 pounds) is substantially less than the lifetime costs of care. While some may feel that the cost of about 40,000 pounds sterling to prevent the birth of a baby with Down syndrome to a woman under 30 may be expensive, it is low compared with the costs of caring for someone with Down syndrome."

Accuracy In Media Article
"Fortunately, there are parents like Kurt Kondrich of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who keep this issue alive. You may remember that Kurt and his wife Margie and their Down syndrome daughter, Chloe, met with Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential campaign. The meeting received national attention."

Prenatal disability profiling
I was asked by the editor of "Renew America" to be a reguar columnist, and here is my latest article:
When a child is prenatally profiled and identified as having Down syndrome, the penalty in 90% percent-plus of the cases is termination. http://www.renewamerica.com/columns/kondrich/100601

Going to Bat for Down syndrome
The TV series "Facing Life Head On" episode "Going to Bat for Down syndrome"airs across the USA and Canada.
"As the third baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Andy LaRoche is making a name for himself in the sports world. But he’s also trying to make a name for himself off the field. Andy has a passion for touching the lives of children with Down syndrome. He’s inviting these children and their families to spend time with him at the ballpark. They play on the field, meet the team and take in a game. One little girl who’s formed a special friendship with Andy is Chloe Kondrich. Chloe was born to Kurt and Margie Kondrich six years ago. After her birth, they were given mostly negative information at the hospital regarding Down syndrome. But that didn’t matter to them. Kurt and Margie knew Chloe was here for a reason and they knew she was destined to become a cherished member of their family and community. For Andy, spending time with Chloe and other kids has been one of the highlights of the time he’s spending playing baseball in Pittsburgh. It says a lot about the impact children with Down syndrome can have on people."

'Facing Life Head-on' to feature friendship between Chloe and Pittsburgh Pirates' Andy LaRoche
The show "Facing Life Head-on" — which will air the feature — reaches 100 million homes in the U.S. and Canada. The show's host is Brad Mattes. "With more than 90 percent of children diagnosed prenatally with Down syndrome being aborted, it is critical that Americans see what a priceless blessing children with Down syndrome are to families, communities, and all of humanity," said Chloe's father, Kurt Kondrich.

Miscarriage of justice--the 'prenatal disability death sentence'

Targeted for Termination
If the proper practice of medicine in our culture includes the skill of identifying and eliminating a prenatal twin who fails to meet the criteria of "normal," then we truly do need a massive overhaul of the "health care" system, and it is the soul of our nation that is "deformed."

Aborting the “Wrong” Baby?
What is the real scandal here — that this doctor was ready to kill a baby with Down syndrome, or merely that he aborted “the wrong baby?” The answer to that question will tell us all we need to know about the conscience of the age.

Our society will be worse off if we reject Down syndrome children
"The significant reduction in the number of people with Down syndrome is not due to an increased capacity among our medical healers to treat or ''cure'' those affected. Rather it is because of our improved ability to weed them out. Prenatal testing is ever more widespread as a way of ensuring human beings with unwanted traits are not born. Individuals and couples choose to eliminate those who have this disability."
